If you’re dealing with a broken heart, be encouraged that you’re not only going to survive this, but you’re going to thrive again. It may feel like your life is over, but remember that it’s a feeling and it won’t last forever. The human heart, your heart, is more resilient than that. If it weren’t so, the human race would have died out a long time ago.
If you’re dealing with a broken heart, remember that it’s a process. Rather than despise the process and wish to be catapulted up and over the pain, look for gems along the way; gems in the form of insights, life lessons, comfort in its many varied forms, brief glimpses of future hope, to name a few. These gems make the journey worth it. Partake of them and be enriched.
If you’re dealing with a broken heart, understand that time is on your side. It’s so easy to view time as the great torturer, stretching endlessly into a future which may look bleak at the moment. But time is a gift which allows the space you need to heal. Treasure the time you’ve been given for navigating your personal deep waters. It is time well spent.
If you’re dealing with a broken heart, be comforted in knowing that you’re not alone. Your situation, pain, disappointment and grief are unique to you, but you’re in the company of an entire human race composed of individuals who, like you, have been through this valley and have come out on the other side where the view is spectacular. I’ve heard that the view is worth it!
I’ve created this site for all of us dealing with a broken heart, with an eye toward the hope and healing we need so that we can move on. I hope you’ll read my articles and find benefit and comfort.
